Enterprise data management software firm GoldenSource has just released an on-demand hosted version of its EDM platform.

The hosted platform, which has the same functionalities as the EDM service, allows GoldenSource's customers to fulfill a range of requirements ranging from a small tactical implementation to a large full scale enterprisewide program.

The service is offered through GoldenSource's private cloud based at a data center managed by Fujitsu Americas. The cost of the outsourced service will depend on its scope of use and is billed monthly. Among the target customers are banks, asset managers and hedge fund who don't want to operate in-house IT systems. Customers running Goldensource's data management products in-house can easily migrate to the new service, says GoldenSource, noting that implementation can typically be done in a matter of weeks.

The release of GoldenSource onDemand is part of a series of packaged applications which started with GoldenSource's Insight dashboard. Such packaged applications help financial firms cut down the time and cost of installations.
