HSBC Securities Services has appointed Dan Massey as Head of Client Management Group, Asia Pacific. HSBC is a global market leader in the provision of fund administration, custody and related securities services across Asia Pacific, the Middle East, Europe and the Americas.

Based in Hong Kong, Massey will be responsible for all client management and business development activity for HSBC Securities Services across the Asia Pacific region in addition to ensuring the ongoing provision of world-class service standards to meet the needs of our clients in the region.

Massey has an extensive securities services background and most recently held the role of Global Head of Business Development and Regional Head of Southeast Asia for HSBC’s Sub-Custody and Clearing business. He has 23 years’ experience in the financial services industry and has been with HSBC since 1994 during which time he has held senior management roles in South Korea, Hong Kong, Jersey and the United Kingdom.

Apex Fund Services (“Apex”), one of the world’s largest independent fund administration companies, announces the appointment of David Brown as the new Managing Director of Apex’s Bermuda office. 

BNP Paribas Securities Services have announced the appointment of Julien Cuminet as Head of Asset and Fund Services (AFS) in France.  He replaces Jean Devambez, who is now Head of Global AFS Products.

Cofunds Holdings Ltd  and Legal & General Group Plc   have  announced that Martin Davis, Chief Executive of Cofunds has
advised them of his intention to step down and leave the company upon the completion of the acquisition of Cofunds by Legal & General.

As of 1 July 2013, Markus  Fuchs  will take  over  as the CEO of the SFA,  which will be  rebranded as  the  Swiss Funds   &  Asset  Management Association SFAMA  on  the  same  date.  He will succeed Dr. Matthäus Den  Otter,  who  has  been  the association’s CEO since  2005.
