Maureen Miskovic, UBS's Group Chief Risk Officer (CRO) since January 2011, will leave UBS to be replaced by Philip J. Lofts, CEO UBS Group Americas, who has filled this role previously between November 2008 and December 2010. Lofts joined UBS in 1984 and was appointed CEO UBS Group Americas in January 2011. Lofts current position will be assumed  by Robert J. McCann in addition to his current role as CEO Wealth Management Americas. McCann joined UBS in 2009.

Ulrich Körner, who also joined UBS in 2009, will take over the role of CEO UBS Group Europe, Middle East and Africa in addition to his current role as Group Chief Operating Officer and CEO Corporate Center.

Lofts, McCann and Körner continue to be members of the Group Executive Board. All these changes are effective immediately.

These changes come after Kaspar Villiger, Chairman of the UBS BoD, announced that planned leadership changes to UBS would be accelerated.   

Thomas Miller Investment (TMI), a member of the 127 year old Thomas Miller Group of Companies, has appointed John Bearman, as Chief Investment Officer.

Baring Asset Management (Barings), the international investment management firm, has appointed Eric Poon to the role of Regional Head of Institutional Business, Asia ex Japan and Alexander Garton to the role of Director, Client Service and Relationship Development, effective immediately.

BNP Paribas Securities Services today announced that it has appointed Viraj Kulkarni as head of Securities Services in India. Mr Kulkarni will drive the custodian’s business activities in the booming Indian market, which include custody and clearing, transfer agency and domestic fund services for buy- and sell-side institutions.

BNY Mellon, the global leader in investment management and investment services, has appointed Paula Kelleher as its new Head of Trustee for Ireland. Based in Dublin, Kelleher will report to Peter Craft, CEO, EMEA Trustee & Depositary at BNY Mellon Asset Servicing.

Deutsche Bank today announced the appointment of Andrew Rand as Regional Head of Direct Securities Services (DSS) in EMEA within the Trust & Securities Services group of its Global Transaction Banking division.
