Misys plc's Sophis VALUE solution has won the "Best Buy Side Risk Management Initiative" from regional investment journal, Asia Asset Management, marking the second consecutive year that Misys' flagship buy-side platform has been recognised as an industry leader by Asia Asset Management's Best of the Best Awards.

aiCIO magazine 2011 Investment Outsourcing Award Winner, Strategic Investment Group, has selected Misys' Sophis VALUE for cross-asset trading and global risk management, providing the asset allocator with a single system to oversee their diversified positions with external managers, as well as their direct investments. Strategic will use Sophis VALUE for front-to-back transaction processing, holistic global risk management and investment accounting.

Misys plc today officially opened their sixth centre of excellence, this time in Beijing. The new centre will allow the company to design and develop solutions to address local market requirements and service its expanding client base in China and the Asia Pacific region. 

Misys plc has placed first in Equities, Interest Rate and Inflation in the Trading Systems category, and Equities in the Pricing and Analytics category, of the 2011 Risk Technology Rankings. Overall, Misys was ranked 3rd in the Trading Systems Category, achieving a top 5 position in all asset classes, including commodities.
